On Tuesday, April 4th, the ITA Safety Council will conduct two Escape Hood training sessions at 10:00 and 2:00, in Room B-841B. You must take the training to receive a hood, which you will receive at the end of the session. The sessions will teach you how to correctly wear the emergency Escape Hoods, which have been certified as the best commercially available protective hoods. There is no charge for this training, but you must register in advance. If you have questions or wish to sign up for one of these sessions, please contact the ITA Safety Officer, Jeff Scherr, at (202)482-3266 or by email at Jeffrey.Scherr@mail.doc.gov. Good records management allows ITA to maintain accountability and credibility. On the other hand, inadequate records management leaves ITA vulnerable to legal and professional repercussions. ITA offices are required to maintain adequate and proper documentation of their organization, activities, and decisions. Records may be destroyed and/or transferred to the Washington National Records Center or regional Federal Records Centers only in accordance with a records control schedule approved by the National Archives and Records Administration. For more information go to http://www.ita.doc.gov/ooms/RSC_Homepage.htm or contact vladimir.diaz@mail.doc.gov or (202)482-3756. ITA Citibank travel cardholders are reminded that Citibank offers an on-line payments system for ITA travelers to use. The system provides direct access to payment history, a 3-step system to make payments and is available 24 hours, 7 days a week to cardholders world-wide.
