Work Reference Chart

The Office of Organization and Management Support (OOMS) maintains the ITA Work Reference Chart (Organization Chart) on the CFO website. The chart is available at http://www.ita.doc.gov/ooms/itawrc.htm . This chart depicts each program unit in ITA and provides contact information for each office. Please contact Glenitta Chase or email Glenitta_Chase@ita.doc.gov when a change occurs (staff change, room, telephone, or fax number). If you have questions about the ITA Work Reference Chart, contact Glenitta at (202)482-3757.

Records Management

Departing ITA officials and employees are reminded that any Federal records in their possession must be properly maintained and must remain with ITA when they depart. Individuals may remove personal materials from the agency. Extra copies of official records kept for convenience of reference may be removed for personal use only with the approval of the agency. Records that are national security classified or otherwise restricted must remain under the control of the agency.  Copies of these records may not be removed. If you have questions about the maintenance and disposition of records, contact Glenitta Chase at (202)482-3757 or e-mail mailto:glenitta_chase@ita.doc.gov .

Copier Purchase

Andy Wilbanks (CIO) and Robin Carpenter (CFO) must clear all copier purchases.  Andy Wilbanks will review the purchase to ensure that it can be safely networked.  Robin Carpenter will review whether the copier can be added to ITA's ongoing supplies and on-site service contract.  Those ordering copiers must include the cost of maintenance into the purchase price of any machines that cannot be added to the maintenance contract.  Please call Andy Wilbanks at (202)482-2147 or Robin Carpenter at (202)482-4989 with any questions.

ITA Reorganization Status

Finally!  The House and the Senate have approved ITA's reprogramming request.  The organization orders implementing the reorganization are with Department of Commerce leadership on their way to the Secretary for signature.  If you have questions, please contact Mary Ann McFate at (202)482-5436 or e-mail MaryAnn_McFate@ita.doc.gov.

FY 2005 Budget

The Senate has begun preparation to bring all appropriations bills that have passed the House by summer recess (July 23) forward in an omnibus bill.  The House leadership seems to be in support of the Senate's intention to pass an omnibus sometimes before the November elections.   If you have questions, please contact Amy Duncan at (202)482-5739.

Traveler's Corner

Question:  Can I be reimbursed for the administrative or connection fee charged by some hotels when using the government-issued MCI calling card for long distance calls while on official travel?

Answer:  The administrative or connection fee charged by some hotels when using the government-issued MCI calling card is reimbursable and can be claimed on the travel voucher.  If you have questions, please call your travel contact or Sharon Russell at (202)482-3267.
