Just as a reminder, as we go into this new calendar year please take this time to review your OMB approved information collections to ensure that we are in compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) requirements. These requirements include displaying on all OMB approved information collections the OMB number, expiration date (top of the first page right corner) and burden statement (bottom of page). If your collection was assigned an ITA number, that number should be displayed at the top of the first page left corner. Any questions you may have concerning the PRA process may be addressed to Jacqueline.Harris@mail.doc.gov or (202)482-4011. The Office of
Personnel Management has published the 2006 Salary Tables on its
website. The total increase
for employees with a Washington DC duty location is 3.44%. Use this link to view the new
rates for all locality areas.
http://www.opm.gov/oca/06tables/indexGS.asp ITA must support its request for reimbursement from FEMA with financial reports showing costs associated with direct hurricane relief efforts (including salaries of staff working on relief efforts). In order to facilitate accurate reporting, OFM established the HURK project code. Program units should ensure that all activities associated with direct hurricane relief efforts utilize this project code in the accounting string. OFM will provide the Resource Coordinators a report on expenses to date as reflected in the accounting system. If you have questions, please contact Amy Duncan at (202)482-5739. ITA utilizes a software application called pbViews to collect and report ITA-wide performance information. That ITA-wide performance information is input by individuals known as “measure owners.” The Office of Financial Management (OFM) is pleased to announce that a new version of pbViews is now available online to ITA performance measure owners. This application will soon be made available to include ITA employees and managers. The timeframe for this expansion will occur during the second and third quarter of FY 2006. Any ITA employees or managers interested in obtaining access to ITA's performance tracking system or in seeking additional information about pbViews should contact Ms. Dondi Ojeda by e-mail at Dondi.Ojeda@mail.doc.gov or by phone at (202)482-5204. |
Additional 1% rescission on the ITA Budget As part of a DOD appropriations bill, Congress has imposed a 1% across-the-board rescission which is applicable to ITA. This is in addition to the 0.28% rescission that was part of the Science/State/Justice/Commerce appropriation. The rescission should be applied equally to all programs, projects and activities. OFM has verified the total amounts rescinded and will share that information with the Resource Coordinators. For further information, please contact Amy Duncan at (202)482-5739. Requesting a New Accounting Project Code Periodically during the year ITA employees start new projects or
initiate agreements with other entities and need a specific accounting
code for the new effort. When requesting a new accounting project code
please use the following procedure: Send an email to Roxanna Allen
or Thomas Doherty of the accounting staff with the following
information: Question: What are the lead times for procurement actions? Answer: Below are the action lead times for submitted procurements.
*$100,000.00 represents the “simplified acquisition threshold.” However, if the acquisition is for a commercial item, this threshold is increased to $5,000,000.00.
