New Separation Clearance Form

Each time an employee leaves ITA a separation clearance form, accounting for all property and other assets (e.g. office keys, escape hoods, travel cards) must be completed.  The Department has recently issued a revised Separation Clearance Certificate, CD-126.  The form is available on the Our Place e-forms site.  Please be certain that you use the correct form to account for all property and other assets.  If you have questions, please contact Nina Harris at (202)482-5436 or via email Nina.Harris@mail.doc.gov .

ITA New Employee Orientation

ITA will once again host Quarterly Orientation for new ITA employees this month.  The training explains ITA’s strategic goals and objectives so that employees can better contribute to the mission of the organization. Employees will participate in a full day of training that is highly interactive and conducted by a professional trainer.  Additionally, employees will have the opportunity to hear from Deputy Under Secretary Michelle O’Neill and to meet and interact with senior leadership from their program unit.  The training will take place on January 30, 2007, from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm, room TBD. For more detailed information about the course, please contact Anesia Robinson in the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) via e-mail at anesia_robinson@ita.doc.gov or telephone at (202)482-1380.

Traveler’s Corner

Question:    Can an ITA employee solicit payment for travel, subsistence, and related travel expenses from a non-Federal source?

Answer:  An ITA employee is prohibited from soliciting payment for travel, subsistence and related travel expenses from a non-Federal source but may accept a travel gift if it is offered by a non-Federal source and is approved by the program Deputy Assistant Secretary, as applicable.  If you have questions, please call Sharon Russell at (202)482-3267.
