Organization

CDC reorganized its structure in April 2005 as part of its Futures Initiative. The top organizational components at CDC include the Office of the Director, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and six Coordinating Centers/Offices. The agency has realigned its resources to better meet the challenges of 21st-century health threats.
