2008 Colorado Conservation Security Program (CSP)
The Upper Arkansas-John Martin Reservoir in Colorado is one of 51
watersheds nationwide eligible for the 2008 Conservation Security Program.
Colorado Farmers and ranchers with working agricultural lands in this
watershed, who do not have an existing CSP contract, may be eligible to
apply for funding and enrollment. Eligible participants should begin
gathering resource information on their operation in preparation of the
prospective sign-up. The Conservation Security Program "Self
Assessment Workbook" (Spanish
Version) and "Colorado Addendum" can be downloaded from this site to assist
producers who are assembling resource records information for their working
agricultural lands. The application form Conservation Applications and

General Program Information
The Conservation Security Program
(CSP) is a voluntary stewardship program that provides financial and
technical assistance to promote the conservation and improvement of soil,
water, air, energy, plant and animal life, and other conservation purposes
on Tribal and private working lands. Through CSP, producers who have
property located in Colorado's CSP priority watershed may be eligible to
apply for 2008 funding and enrollment. Eligibility criteria is designed to
address specific conservation goals in the watershed. Producers should
answer the questions in Colorado's 2008 CSP
Initial Questionnaire to determine minimum eligibility criteria, before
completing the National self-assessment workbook, submitting an application,
and scheduling a follow-up interview with NRCS who determines the program
tier and enrollment category available to the applicant. More information
about the Conservation Security Program can be found on the
National NRCS website.
