Brief Description: We implemented a basic C.E.R.T. training program for residents in our community and completed our first class in November 2001. We have trained more than 60 residents so far. Our goal is to train 40 residents per year and to start training our businesses. We presently have 4 Fire Dept. personnel who have received training FEMA in their "Train the Trainer program".

Brief Description: The Clay County CERT program began in March 2005. The CERT volunteers will also be able to attend continued training every other month. Clay County also has a CERT newsletter that goes out to the volunteers, monthly.

Brief Description: We have a Citizen Coprs Council in Minneapolis that oversees the CERT program as well as establishes a relationship with the Neighborhood Watch and VIPs program in the Police Department. In addtion, we are partnering with Hennepin County Medical Reserve Corps and asking that they join our Council this year.

Brief Description: Minnetrista CERT serves the cities of Minnetrista and neighboring St. Bonifacius. It is also available to neighboring communities if requested. The team has 29 members who live or work in the area. The team just recently completed its graduation. Continuing training courses are planned and expansion of the team is being considered.

Brief Description: The State of Minnesota's CERT Program, coordinated through the MN Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM), is part of the MN Citizen Corps Council. HSEM sponsors CERT train-the-trainer courses for new CERT communities in Minnesota and works with these jurisdictions to enhance their CERT programs and capabilities.

Brief Description: We train Neighborhood Watch groups. There must be two people from each watch group/neighborhood to participate. We train teams of 2+ to respond to disasters in their own neighborhood. In time we will branch out and use them in other locations. We hold quarterly mock disasters and trainings for those who have completed the 7 week class. We have classes every Tuesday evening from 6:30-9:30 pm for all of 2004.

Brief Description: Falcon Heights is a suburb or St. Paul with a population of 5,672. Immediately after September 11, we began mobilizing citizens of all ages to assist our public safety professionals and have sponsored a variety of training programs to build their skills. Now, thanks to a grant from the state, we are able to offer CERT training beginning on start June 19.

Brief Description: The Shakopee CERT Program was launched in April of 2005. The Shakopee CERT Program members will provide community disaster awareness by complimenting our emergency responder organizations during emergency and non-emergency situations. Brief Description: The Steele County CERT program falls under the direction of the Steele County CAER (Community Awareness and Emergency Response)board. The CERT program was established in 2003 and the first CERT class graduated on September 11, 2003. Steele County CERT has 100 + members and continues to grow. Brief Description: The Waconia Area CERT program has started its second year in 2004. Waconia Area CERT plans to conduct two CERT training sessions 2004, along with participating in local activities that include programs such as SAFETY CAMP, THE WACONIA BAND FESTIVAL and LAKE WACONIA TRIATHLON. Brief Description: The Columbia Heights CERT program began in Jan 2005. We train citizens that either live or work in the community. We conduct classes year round. We also look at training CERT members in other topics, which they might assist with, such as radio usage, traffic control and crowd control. There are practical exercises conducted to keep the CERT members current with the training the received.

Brief Description: Benton County CERT team currently has over 100 volunteers, representing 14 communities. Our volunteers remain active, distributing weather related safety information, staffing display booths and promoting emergency preparedness in their local community. Brief Description: The goal of the Rogers CERT program is to train and develop a CERT team in every residential subdivision in the City. Brief Description: The City of Richfield CERT team is in it's founding stages at the moment. We hope to have our training cadre in place by the fall of 2008 and begin to offer CERT training to our Police Reserves, Police Explorers, City Employees, Neighborhood Watch Members, citizens, School District and local partners in the business and special populations communities.
