Ciência & Saúde Coletiva (CSC) is a quarterly Brazilian
public health journal and is the official Journal of the Brazilian Association
of Public Health (ABRASCO). Three of the issues are thematic. The journal’s
mission is to be a vehicle for disseminating and critically reflecting
on the field’s history, analyzing the “state of the art” of
its component disciplines, and the latest trends in thinking, theory,
and practice in public health.
CSC is currently available on the web at the Scientific Electronic
Library Online (SciElo) www.scielo.org. After January 2006, the journal
will
be available on its new web site www.cienciasuadecoletiva.org.br.
CSC received an “A” classification in its field from the
Coordinating Body for Training University Level Personnel (Capes) and
is acknowledged by the National Research Council (CNPq), which partially
funds the journal. This journal is indexed in SciELO, Sociological Abstracts,
Cabi Abstracts/Global Health, Latindex, and Rea AlyC databases.

The Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics
Established in 1987, the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics (AOEC)is a nonprofit organization committed to improving the practice of occupational and environmental health through information sharing and collaborative research. The AOEC has grown to a network of more than 60 clinics and more than 250 individuals committed to improving the practice of occupational and environmental medicine through information sharing and collaborative research. The chief long-term goal of the AOEC is to facilitate the prevention and treatment of occupational and environmental illnesses and injuries through collaborative reporting and investigation of health problems. The International Society for Environmental EpidemiologyThe International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE) provides a forum for the discussion of problems unique to the study of health and the environment.
