Overview of the Database

A resource for researchers, planners, policymakers, and state and local advocates working to reduce and eliminate tobacco-related diseases in women.
Includes research projects, initiatives, and activities related to women, tobacco, and cancer that were active between 2000 and 2004.
Can be used to identify areas of ongoing research, gaps in research, opportunities for collaborations and partnerships, and more.

System Requirements and Instructions for Downloading

In order to run this database, you must have Microsoft Access 2000 (MS Office Professional 2000) or higher installed on your computer. An internet browser (any type) is required to view the WTC Database Definitions file and the help file, but an internet connection is not necessary once the database has been downloaded.
Click here to download a copy of the database to your computer. The database can be saved anywhere on the hard drive but it is recommended that you create a separate folder specifically for the database and save it there.
If you wish to download a copy of this database to CD, first download the files to your hard drive and then follow the instructions for using your CD-burner software to copy the "NCI WTC DB V1.28.mde" file to the CD. Though it is not necessary, it is still a good idea to copy the file "Installing and Running.txt" to the CD as well. Be aware that the database will not run correctly directly from a CD. It must be copied to a computer hard drive in order to operate properly.
To run the database, double-click the icon of the copy you just created on the hard drive.
