Figure 36 is a bar graph representing success rates for frozen
embryos and fresh embryos, 2003.
Frozen Embryos (subject heading is divided into the following three
categories):
- Live births per thaw, 26.3%
- Live births per transfer, 27.0%
- Singleton live births per transfer, 20.2%
Fresh Embryos (subject heading is divided into the following two
categories):
- Live births per transfer, 34.7%
- Singleton live births per transfer, 22.8%

Figure 37 depicts two pie charts, A and B, representing the risk
of having a multiple-fetus pregnancy and multiple-infant live birth from
ART cycles using frozen nondonor embryos, 2003.
- Pie chart A represents 5,381 pregnancies
- Singletons: 66.2%
- Total multiple-fetus pregnancies 24.9%, which are further
subdivided as follows:
- Twins: 21.4%
- Triplets or more: 3.5%
- Not able to determine number of fetuses because the pregnancy ended
in miscarriage: 9.0%
- Pie chart B represents 4,246 live births
- Singletons: 74.7%
- Total multiple-infant live births 25.3%, which are further
subdivided as follows:
- Twins: 23.4%
- Triplets or more: 1.9%
