Intergovernmental Affairs

This team serves as a focal point for Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) understanding and interaction with a wide range and variety of transportation interest groups. Based on knowledge of the transportation industry and congressional interests, this assists the agency in effectively analyzing and assessing the potential effect of proposed legislation and policy decision-making. The Team works to maintain an awareness of legislative proposals and programmatic concerns of the broad spectrum of private sector transportation interest groups, state and local officials, and state transportation organizations, and relates their views on program/legislative issues.
