Description

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood (NHLBI) Information Center is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Eastern time, to accept orders for publications and inquiries on the prevention and treatment of heart, lung, and blood diseases and sleep disorders. The information line on heart health (800-575-WELL) gives recorded messages in English about how to prevent and treat high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol. NHLBI Information Center staff may be reached by mail, telephone, and electronic mail.

Consumer materials are available on cholesterol, high blood pressure, chronic cough, heart disease, exercise, blood resources, asthma, cystic fibrosis and sleep disorders. Professional materials are available on heart and lung health at the workplace, cholesterol, high blood pressure, blood resources, and asthma.
