Description
Under the direction of the Navy Surgeon General, Navy Medicine provides high quality economical health care to active duty Sailors and Marines, retirees and their family members. The office of the Navy Surgeon General formulates policy on all health care programs that affect the Navy and Marine Corps. The office is responsible for ensuring adequate medical resources and trained personnel are available to meet the needs of the Navy, Marine Corps and their families.
