NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) station WNG-566 provides weather information and forecasts for the Eastern Columbia Gorge and North Central Oregon. Counties in the broadcast area include Klickitat in Washington and Sherman and Gilliam in Oregon.

Goldendale NWR is a cooperative effort between NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS), Rural Oregon Wireless TV, the State of Washington and Gilliam and Sherman Counties in Oregon. The broadcast originates from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton and transmits on a frequency of 162.525 MHz from Goodnoe Hills, Washington.
