Society for Range Management Meeting Provides Setting for Awards

The 57th Annual Meeting of the Society for Range Management (SRM) in Salt Lake City last month was the setting for a presentation of the NRCS Undergraduate Range Management Examination highest score award to University of Wyoming student, Jordge LaFantasie, by NRCS Deputy Chief Lawrence Clark. Jordge won the award by achieving the highest combined scores on both plant identification and undergraduate range management exams. The 2004 Outstanding Achievement award was also presented to NRCS cooperating scientist, Dr. Joel Brown; the 2004 Outstanding Young Range Professional award to NRCS District conservationist, Wade Anderson; and the NRCS 2004 Rangeland Conservationist of the Year award to NRCS rangeland management specialist, Ceci-Dale Cesmat.
