Miscellaneous Changes in Office of Personnel Management's
Regulations
AGENCY: Office of Personnel Management.
ACTION: Final rule; technical amendment.

SUMMARY: The Office of Personnel Management is issuing a final rule to
remove all references to the Federal Personnel Manual (FPM). With the
abolishment of the FPM, these references are no longer in effect. This
action does not make any substantive changes to the affected rules.
DATES: This rule is effective December 27, 2001.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 553(b)(3)(B) and
(d)(3), good cause exists for publishing this amendment without a
notice of proposed rulemaking and a 30-day delay in effectiveness. This
amendment is non-substantive and will not affect current compliance.

economic impact on a substantial number of small entities because they
will affect only Federal agencies and employees.
