The ITA Secretariat's functions
include the control, routing, and processing of controlled
correspondence
from the Offices of the Secretary and Deputy Secretary, the
Department's and ITA's Offices of Legislative
and Intergovernmental Affairs, all Congressional correspondence
addressed to ITA officials, the Under
Secretary for International Trade, and the Deputy Under Secretary
for International Trade. When the ITA
Secretariat staff receives mail to be controlled, action is
assigned to the appropriate program area within ITA.
ITA Secretariat now has an e-mail inbox to be used for
correspondence-related issues. Please use
this mailbox address to send e-mail messages to the ITA
Secretariat involving correspondence
issues, questions, or comments. The ITASEC address should also be
used when a request for
extension, downgrade, or decontrol of controlled correspondence
is sent to the Secretariat
via e-mail.
