A variety of technical and administrative support data are generated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), FEMA contractors, mapping partners, conditional and final map revision requesters, and conditional and final map amendment requesters. These data and FEMA publications related to the processing of the following may be obtained from the FEMA Library:
All requests for printed copies of effective Flood Hazard Boundary Maps (FHBMs), Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), Digital Flood Insurance Rate Maps (DFIRMs), and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) reports should be submitted to FEMA Map Service Center (MSC). For more information on the publications available from the MSC, you may want to contact the MSC staff; toll free, either by telephone at
Requests for technical and administrative support data should be submitted to the FEMA Project Library in writing, either by mailing them to the address below or by facsimile transmission to (703) 751-7391. The FIS Data Request Form has been created to help you request the appropriate data. That form also provides information on who is exempt from paying for these data. If you do not represent a fee-exempt organization, an initial non-refundable fee to cover the preliminary costs of research and retrieval is required. Your fee should be accompanied by a FEMA Payment Information Form.
