Disabilities and Sports

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs utilizes our sports envoy, visitor and grants programs to promote and sponsor sports, recreation, fitness and leisure events for children and adults with physical disabilities. Programs focus on stressing the need to include physically challenged individuals along side the non-disabled in the sports and recreational activities. By providing inclusive sports and recreational experiences to people with disabilities, projects build self-esteem and confidence as well as enhance their active participation in community life and thus make a significant contribution to the physical and psychological health.
