Questions and Answers Regarding Rule Changes at 44 CFR Part 65

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) processes a variety of map revisions through the issuance of Letters of Map Change (LOMCs). These letters include Letters of Map Amendment (LOMAs), Letters of Map Revision Based on Fill (LOMR-Fs), and Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs). The rules regarding data requirements and procedures for obtaining LOMR-Fs and LOMRs are outlined in Title 44, Chapter I, Part 65, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). On May 4, 2001, FEMA issued a Final Rule to change those regulations. To view or download the current version of Part 65, with the May 4, 2001, Final Rule incorporated, please click here.
