Information for Beneficiaries of Treasury’s Assisted Programs
Your Civil Rights Are Protected
Nondiscrimination provisions apply to all programs and activities of recipients and sub-recipients of federal financial assistance. In programs that receive financial assistance from the Department of the Treasury, discrimination is prohibited on the bases of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or limited English proficiency. Reprisal actions against individuals for their prior civil rights activity are prohibited.
Additionally, in Department of the Treasury programs and activities, discrimination is prohibited on the bases of disability, and limited English proficiency.

How long do I have to file a program discrimination complaint with the Department of the Treasury?
The Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity has authority to investigate actions that took place no more than 180 days prior to the filing of your complaint, unless a waiver of this filing is requested and granted.
