NRCS Retiree Honored

NRCS agronomist (retired), Dan Towery recently received the individual  No-till Innovator Award in Research and Education at the National No-till meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio. The award was presented to Dan by Frank Lessiter, Editor and Publisher of No-till Farmer Magazine and Ross Larson, market development manager for Syngenta, an agribusiness committed to sustainable agriculture through research and technology.

The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resource District received the organizational No-till Innovator Award in Research and Education.  Dan Gillespie, part-time NRCS employee was on-hand to accept the award for the district located in Norfolk, Nebraska, that serves 15 to counties in the northeast part of the State.
