NWS FLAGSTAFF OPEN HOUSE INFORMATION
  The public is invited to attend our Open House on Saturday, October 4th, 2008.  
 
  • See satellite, model, and radar data used daily by forecasters
  • Meet the weather forecasters and technicians
  • Tour the facilities
  • See how a weather forecast is created
  • Explore our digital forecast database
  • Attend talks on climate change at 11:00 a.m, noon, 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 pm
  • Watch a weather balloon launch at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
  • And much, much more!
 
  When:   Saturday, October 4th, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  
     
 

Where:   The National Weather Service Office is located on Camp Navajo, exit 185 Interstate 40

Directions from Flagstaff:

  • Follow Interstate 40 West to Exit 185.
  • Turn left (south) at the top of the offramp and follow road into Camp Navajo (you will pass over a railroad overpass before entering Camp Navajo).
  • Pass between the brick columns at the edge of the base, and turn right into the NWS parking lot. (look for the one story brick building)
