THE WHITE HOUSE PRESIDENT HONORS OUTSTANDING YOUNG SCIENTISTS President Clinton today named 59 young researchers as recipients of the fifth annual Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE), the highest honor bestowed by the United States government on young professionals at the outset of their independent research careers. The researchers will receive their awards tomorrow in a White House ceremony.
