Jim McClusky, director of the Capability Replacement Laboratory project is responsible for securing the millions of dollars necessary to fund and build replacement laboratory space and extend the life of four retained facilities in the 300 Area by 2011. Replacement facilities, totaling 350,000-square-feet must be built to accommodate accelerated cleanup of the 300 Area of the Hanford Site, displacing staff, equipment and capabilities. His team includes:

Background on Jim

Most recently, Jim has directed engineering activities for Fluor Hanford Inc. to safely remove and store irradiated nuclear fuel from the 100 K Basins at Hanford. Jim holds a doctorate from Iowa State University where he was a Rockefeller Foundation Post Doctoral Fellow, and a bachelor's degree in chemistry and physics from Washington and Jefferson College.
