Are All Seats Safe?
All car seats rated by NHTSA meet Federal Safety Standards & strict crash performance standards. While all rated seats are safe, they do differ in their ease of use in four basic catagories:

Evaluation of Labels1 stars
No illustration of a child in the restraint to visually indicate proper size range of child for use. No overview of the different modes of use.No additional harness slot height information provided. Carrier belt path is not clearly labeled. Belt routing path is not labeled. Labels do not sufficiently explain use of LATCH. Label does not remind user to tighten the LATCH strap.

Manual found in box but unattached to child restraint. Manual storage is difficult to find and/or use. Some additional sizing information is missing. One or more labels does not match information in the instruction manual.
Securing the Child2 stars
Harness clip is not labeled to indicate its placement.Harness buckle cannot be inserted one side at a time, nor is there an intermediate method to hold both sides together.Headrest or other object in the way of harness slots. Must re-thread harness to adjust. Loose parts are generated during the adjustment process.Loose mandatory pieces exist if seat is disassembled for cleaning.

Difficult to attach seat to base.Angle recline indication is in the same color as the base or is a label.Lower attachments require twisting to remove from the vehicle.
