Piers Sellers joins STS-121 Crew
July 15, 2004
Earth Scientist and Astronaut Piers Sellers, a Fellow of the AMS and AGU and formerly Terra Project Scientist, has been named to the crew of STS-121, the second planned Space Shuttle mission to the International Space Station once flights resume. During the flight, the crew will test new Space Shuttle safety changes, procedures and equipment. The current target window for the STS-121 mission begins in May 2005.
