GSFC Awards of Excellence

On July 20, the MODIS Aerosol Algorithm Team was given a Goddard Award of Excellence for outstanding teamwork in the development, implementation and validation of the MODIS Aerosol algorithm. Members of the team include: Lorraine Remer, Allen Chu, Richard Hucek, Charles Ichoku, Richard Kleidman, Robert Levy, Rong-Rong Li, Vanderlei Martins, Shana Mattoo, and Bill Ridgway. The team, formed a decade ago, has created, maintained, and validated an algorithm that has produced five years of MODIS aerosol data and is still going strong.

NASA's Earth Observatory Team was given a Goddard Award of Excellence for the development of the Earth Observatory Web page -- an outstanding education tool for students, educators, and the general public. Members of the team include: Robert Simmon, Rebecca Lindsey, Jesse Allen and Dan Singhal. Part time staff includes Michon Scott (NSIDC), Holli Riebeek, Reto Stockli, and Goran Halusa.
