Update:  Fair Practice Initiative

The NATA Fair Practice Initiative has scored a key victory in the fight to protect the profession. By opinion entered on September 9, 2008, the Federal District Court in Dallas denied APTA’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit and rejected APTA’s request to transfer the case from Dallas to Virginia.

NATA’s board of directors voted last month to support Special Olympics and their “R-Word” campaign, which aims to eradicate improper use of the word “retarded.”
