Proteomic Poster Wins Award at International Proteome Meeting

A poster entitled "Comprehensive Proteomic Characterization of Signaling Polarity in Chemotatic Cells" received a Best Poster Award at the Human Proteome Organisation 5th Annual World Congress in Long Beach, CA, October 28-November 1, 2006. Congratulations to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory authors Shi-Jian Ding, Jon Jacobs, Weijun Qian, Feng Yang, Aleksey Tolmachev, Matt Monroe, Ron Moore, Samuel Purvine, Dave Camp, and Dick Smith.

Approximately 2000 delegates from around the world attended the HUPO Congress. HUPO has a mandate of fostering international proteomic initiatives to better understand human disease. The research featured in the poster is from a collaborative project with Richard Klemke and staff at the University of California, San Diego through the National Center for Research Resources Proteomics Research Resource for Integrative Biology at PNNL.
