Question
What comet is currently visible from some spot on earth?
There are always comets visible, but whether you can see them depends on how big a telescope you have. The only recent naked-eye comet was 73P/Schwassmann-Wachmann-3, which was fairly bright in May but can no longer be seen without a telescope. Generally, a comet, if it is visible at all, can be seen from most places on the surface as the Earth rotates. A good Web source of current comet information is [http://www.aerith.net/comet/weekly/current.html]. David Morrison
