Public Meetings on Policy Change for Post Secondary Training

VESID's recent transition and post secondary initiatives have successfully increased the number of individuals VESID is now serving. In order to sustain our commitment to improving the quality of outcomes and supporting more individuals in post secondary education and training it is necessary to amend funding levels contained in postsecondary policies. Three public meetings will be held to gather input and comments from individuals with disabilities, their families, advocates and service providers on the proposed changes. 


Vocational and Educational Services for Individuals with Disabilities (VESID) offers access to a full range of services that may be needed by persons with disabilities through their lives. Through its administration of special education, vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs, VESID coordinates policy and services relating to:

The seeds of adult success are sown during the school years. The system established by the Board of Regents to administer education and vocational services for people with disabilities fosters this and has evolved into a national model, designed to focus on our customers and produce results.
