Opportunities for American Hosts - Schools

The Youth Programs Division offers multiple opportunities for American students to gain an awareness of other cultures and develop skills that enable them to engage in a dialogue with youth in other countries on international issues and ideas, increase their competitiveness in the global marketplace, and become better informed global citizens. Designed to help schools and individuals develop 21st century skills and knowledge, State Department youth exchange programs prepare Americans and their foreign counterparts for their future roles in an increasingly multicultural, multilingual global society.
