MOST WANTED!!

We are looking for partners in several cities for awareness campaigns.

At OMHRC, we like to think of ourselves as the connectors: we work directly with the public in answering any health questions, but the bulk of our job is to connect individuals with local organizations and sources of health care. We connect organizations with local health departments and with our Regional Minority Health Consultants. We connect organizations with each other so that promising practices are shared and scarce resources maximized.

Organizations in Detroit, MI and Washington, DC

We need partners from Detroit and DC Metro area for the launch of an infant mortality awareness campaign focused on the African American community: "A Healthy Baby Begins with You." Know anyone? Send them our way!

This campaign aims to increase awareness of the need for prenatal care and of the causes of infant mortality, particularly Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and others that disproportionately affect the African American community. If you are a community or faith based organization in Detroit or in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area and would like to take part in the launching of the campaign, please send us an email or call us at 1-800-444-6472.

Also, if you would like to partner in this campaign by hosting an event in your city, please let us know by please sending an email or calling us at 1-800-444-6472.

Organizations in San Antonio, TX and Las Vegas, NV

As part of our regular exhibit calendar, OMHRC's staff is traveling to San Antonio, TX, and Las Vegas, NV, and we would love to visit your organization to offer our services; learn about the work you do; share your successful stories with other organizations; and offer some technical assistance or training of your choosing: grant writing/sustainability, evaluations, program development, social marketing, or any other particular topic you suggest.

If your organization would like to take part on the training or talk to us about other organizational development opportunities, please email us or call us at 1-800-444-6472.

Also, if you want to see all the services we offer to community and faith based organizations you can visit our website.

If you know of an organization that could use our services or would like to partner with us in any way in our efforts to end health disparities, please email or call us at 1-800-444-6472.
