"Today's creation of a private sector organization to implement ENUM brings the convergence of telephone and Internet networks one step closer. ENUM, a protocol that links the two networks, will facilitate the deployment of Voice of Internet Protocol and other IP services. I applaud the hard work and dedication of the companies that have created this broad-based industry vehicle, and encourage other companies and countries to join this multinational effort."
