    Executive Leadership Seminar (ELS)

    (replaces PME course for NWS employees)

    Course Number: ELS01

    Course Length: 9 working days (Click for Schedule) Agenda specifics will be provided to participants in a selection letter and welcome packet.

    Intended Audience: This course is for management members of NWS field offices, and regional and national headquarters in grades GS 13-15 who are not part of the bargaining unit. All should be supervisors, team leaders, or have significant responsibility for guiding and directing the work of others. Employees from other NOAA line offices and other federal agencies meeting criteria equivalent to the NWS criteria are also eligible to attend

    This seminar is open to all federal agencies. For increased networking and diversity of experience, ideas, and methods, there will be 20-30 slots available in each session for non-NWS applicants who are 1st or 2nd line supervisors, or team leaders guiding and directing the work of others who meet the grade criteria above. (GS 12's with appropriate supervisory span of responsibility may be considered on an exception basis.)

    Tuition: $1,000 for all non-NWS participants.
