NERC is a joint government-industry program of laboratory research to improve our understanding of the contributions of individual air contaminants and classes of contaminants to the respiratory and cardiac health effects associated with exposures to complex mixtures of air pollutants. |

Research Plan and Progress
The Center's principal activity is to conduct a series of studies aimed at determining the contributions of pollution mixture constituents to the respiratory health effects of pollutant mixtures.
