Provisional Data Statement

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Water Resources Division, in support of the U.S. Department of Energy, Environmental Restoration Program, Underground Test Area Study, conducts a hydrologic data-collection program at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) and vicinity. As part of this data collection program, the USGS maintains an onsite and an offsite well network for which water levels are measured periodically. Data collected from these monitoring networks are made available quarterly.

Depth-to-water measurements made as part of this task are provided for the areas listed below.

• Network wells within NTS
• Network wells outside the NTS

As an additional part of the data collection program, the USGS compiles water production reports supplied by National Security Technologies (NSTec). Available production data from major water wells are compiled and used to estimate daily withdrawal rates. Monthly withdrawals, calculated from the daily rates, are tabulated at the end of each quarter.
