BASIC Training

New USCIS officer attend a nine week basic training course as they enter on duty.

"BASIC" utilizes techniques that ensure officers are successful in their jobs as soon they arrive at their home offices from training.

A key element of BASIC is a hands-on practicum whereby students begin adjudicating cases in a live mentored learning environment.

The BASIC curriculum is focused to provide employees with:
