animations, in addition to still graphics, to enhance
your learning experience. See which topics offer
podcasts, graphics, and animations

Listen to DCI Podcasts
Podcasts are files available in an audio format that
you can download and listen to on personal computers or
portable digital audio players. The DCI is a
Web-based health information index with a quick and easy
way to get complete and dependable information about
heart, lung, and blood diseases and sleep
disorders. Combining the DCI and podcasts is a
great match! Here are the topics available now
with podcasts:

- Overweight and Obesity

See the DCI’s Animations and Anatomical
Graphics
The DCI topics are written in plain language for ease
of understanding. Take a look at these topics that have
graphics and/or animations to enhance
understanding: |
- Arrhythmia
– includes animations for three arrhythmias and a
graphic of the heart.
- Bronchoscopy
– includes an animation showing how the test is done.
- Cardiac
Catheterization – has an animation that shows how
the procedure is done.
- Heart
Attack – includes graphics to show what causes a
heart attack and animation that shows how a heart
attack occurs.
- How
the Heart Works – includes animations that show
how the heart pumps blood and how the heart’s
