EXPO May 12-13, 2009
What is EXPO

The Health & Safety Exposition is an exhibition of information, equipment, supplies, and success stories that promote the health and safety of workers both at home and at work. One way to foster safety as a value in employees' lives is to provide ways to share safety- and health-related lessons learned and success stories.

EXPO is supported by the United States Department of Energy, Fluor Hanford, Inc., Washington Closure Group, PNNL, CH2M HILL HanfordBechtel National, and AdvanceMed Hanford.

EXPO 2007 Award for Most Interactive given to FFTF
2008 EXPO Award for Most Interactive was given to FH KBC.

The 15th Annual Health & Safety Exposition (EXPO 2009) will be held May 12-13, 2009, at the Trade Recreation Agricultural Center (TRAC) in Pasco, Washington.

Through exhibits, Hanford employees will have the opportunity to share how they are improving their performance in the safety and health areas. Vendors will be on hand to exhibit and demonstrate their safety- and health-related products and equipment. The local police will offer vehicle driving and bicycling safety information and police-dog demonstrations. Hanford is committed to obtaining Star Status in the Voluntary Protection Program.

This is a Health & Safety exposition. We would like to encourage all Hanford employees to participate in and attend EXPO. The EXPO also covers safety at home, so bring your family. The EXPO is opened to the public.

EXPO 2008 hosted 162 exhibits with 197 vendors. If you are interested in having an exhibit in EXPO 2009, please contact Owen Berglund (509) 308-4962. If your group performs a specialized service in the area of safety and would like to give demonstrations of that service during EXPO, please contact Diane Faulk (Special Events).

If you have questions or would like to have a short presentation about EXPO during your Safety Meetings, please contact: Owen Berglund (509) 308-4962 and/or Jenni Morris (509) 303-1431.
