Speaker Biographies
Linda S. Dieleman, MS, RD, LN
Linda Dieleman is a Manager for the
Saint Paul Public Schools Food Service
in Minnesota. Saint Paul Public
Schools has a centralized kitchen and
approximately 80 school program sites.
Linda is responsible for the school
operations and the Child and Adult
Care Food Program sites. She co-chairs
the HACCP team for the school district
food service.
She received her Bachelor’s degree
from Iowa State University and her
Master of Science from Pennsylvania
State University, with graduate level
courses in industrial relations,
curriculum design, and accounting at
the University of Minnesota. She is a
Registered Dietitian and a Licensed
Nutritionist.
Linda conducts ServSafe classes as
well as HACCP classes for school food
service professionals. As a trainer in
the Minnesota Department of Children,
Families and Learning, she also
provides a number of workshops,
including how to meet the special
needs of students with disabilities.
She has been with the Saint Paul
Schools for over 10 years and
previously was an Assistant Professor
with the University of Minnesota where
she was responsible for
interdisciplinary statewide programs
on food safety and nutrition issues.
Her work experience also includes
developing an interactive
microcomputer system at the Nutrition
Coordination Center for the National
Center for Health Statistics to use in
national research studies. She has
also been a Nutrition Educator and
supervisor for five years for an
extension program designed for low
income homemakers.
