On August 5, 1997, the President signed into law H.R. 2015, the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. The law makes numerous changes to various titles of the Social Security Act, as well as creating a new Tittle XXI, the State Children's Health Insurance Program. This summary describes only those changes that may relate to the Medicare, Medicaid or State Children's Health Insurance Program. |
