On November 4, 1992, the President signed into law H.R. 5193, the Veterans Health Care Act of 1992, which is an act to amend title 38, United States Code, to revise certain pay authorities that apply to Department of Veterans Affairs nurses, to improve preventive health services for veterans, to improve health-care services for women veterans, and to enable the Department to purchase pharmaceuticals at reasonable prices, and for other purposes.
