On December 8, 2003, President Bush signed into law the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act, which is an act to amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act. The law provides for a voluntary prescription drug benefit under the Medicare program and works to strengthen and improve the Medicare program. |
