Secretary Gutierrez Touts Trade Growth at World Ports Conference
Houston (May 1)—Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez delivered the keynote address to the International Association of Ports and Harbors World Ports Conference, highlighting the growth of international trade and the importance ports play in the flow of commerce around the world. The Secretary also made two announcements from NOAA, including a study which demonstrated the economic benefits of NOAA's PORTS program to the Houston-Galveston Port. (Release) (Speech) (Report)
