This savings education web page is part of the Administration initiatives to highlight the benefits of personal financial planning and the steps that all Americans can take to make financial planning easier. The web page is designed to provide resources to benefits officers to use in savings education programs and to provide self-service information for employees. The page features information and tools as well as links to other sources of information.

 
Upcoming Events

Satellite Broadcast
OPM will host a live, interactive satellite broadcast on November 10, 1999, to provide employees and benefits personnel with information on saving for their retirement.

Can't tune in for our broadcast? Have we got a deal for you! If you will be unable to view our satellite broadcast live or would like a copy for agency use, you can purchase a videotape by calling (703) 620-6000. The American Savings Education Council (ASEC), in an effort to create a better understanding of savings issues, has developed user-friendly educational materials to educate Americans on the need to save. The Ballpark Estimate is a worksheet designed to help individuals quickly identify approximately how much savings they will need to live comfortably in retirement.
