Paddle Craft Reservations & Administrative Fee Schedule

1. Before a permit is issued to launch paddle craft an application needs to be completed requesting a specific launch time and date, and an administrative fee must be paid to confirm that reservation. Through the group leader signing the application, the entire group acknowledges that they agree to all permit conditions governing the trip and access to the launch site.

THE RESERVATION FEE FOR A PADDLE CRAFT LAUNCH IS $10.00 PER PERSON

2. This is an administrative fee that covers the cost of operating the reservation system and providing security measures for the Hoover Dam site including escort of all trips that utilize the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation launch site. The fee is per person and no additional fee is charged for each craft. Note: An additional $3.00 per person will be charged for the National Park Service entrance fee into Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

3. To secure a confirmed launch reservation, the completed application must be signed and fee(s) must be paid. Reservations may be completed by telephone or fax. The required forms are available in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. To view and print the forms you will need to have a copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on you computer. The Reader is available for free from Adobe's site at: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. The two forms which must be filled out are the Paddle Craft Launch Application/Permit (Adobe Acrobat file, 12 KB), and the Canoe Trip Participant Manifest (Adobe Acrobat file, 6 KB). Click on the name of the form to download and print it. Call for a reservation, once a date and time are agreed upon you can fax in the completed forms. 4. There is NO REFUND WHEN A LAUNCH IS NOT COMPLETED. The applicant agrees that reservation charges to a credit card are still obligated, even if the launch is not completed.

5. The FEE MAY BE LOST if the launch date or participant manifest is changed 30 days or less before the launch.

6. Your fees MUST be paid and application approved to obtain a launch permit.

7. The group members must provide photo identification at time of launch.

8. Please notify the permit office immediately if any trip plans change.
