Iowa Firm Recalls Frankfurters Due To Possible Underprocessing |

WASHINGTON, Jan. 23, 2007 - Agriprocessors, Inc., a Postville, Iowa, establishment,
is voluntarily recalling approximately 2,700 pounds of frankfurters due to possible underprocessing,
the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The following products are subject to recall:
- Two-pound vacuum-packed packages of "SUPREME KOSHER, FAMILY PACK CLASSIC FRANKFURTERS MADE WITH BEEF & CHICKEN."
- One-pound vacuum-packed packages of "SUPREME KOSHER, CLASSIC FRANKFURTERS MADE WITH BEEF & CHICKEN."
Each label bears the establishment number, "EST. 4653A" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The labels
also bear the Use-by date "March 16, 07."
The frankfurters were produced on November 15, 2006 and were shipped to retail establishments and
institutions in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
The problem was discovered by an Agriprocessors, Inc., employee. FSIS has received no reports of
illnesses from consumption of these products.
