NAS DIVISION PROJECTS
Staff members in the NAS Division supports numerous high-level projects under the sponsorship of the High End Computing Capabilities (HECC) Project, in addition to other work critical to NASA missions.
The high-level projects supported by the NAS Division are:
Pleiades
The 20,480-core Pleiades supercomputer will increase NASA's computing capability an additional 2.5 times when it becomes operational in September 2008.

Project Columbia
The construction of NASA's new 10,240-processor SGI Altix supercomputer has changed the face of high-end computing, increased NASA's computing capability ten-fold and revitalized the agency's high-end computing infrastructure.
